New Zealand Holiday

Hello people,

Haven't been on in ages!! Since I last wrote, we've been holidaying in New Zealand for 2 weeks!

This picture is at Rotarua. It smelt HORRIBLE! Look at my brothers expression, his top pulled over his face. I said I never wanted to go there again! But I think I might. :)

Obsession with kitchen pics!

I just love the one of the mixer! It's taken below the actual thing to make it look bigger and more artistic.
Mum hasn't used the grounding thing yet. She has had it for nearly 2 years I think.

Springwood pool

This is Springwood pool from the sidelines. Its the best pool I've been to. It has a great slide (the yellow thing) and can you see the red circle underneath it?  the water around that is a whirl pool! The water pushes you around the circle, which makes trying to swim against it, very challenging. Other than that pool, there is the usual lap swimming pool which, the day I went, had a rock climbing wall coming out of the water! it looked so fun, but we don't have any pictures of that sorry. 

Can you see two people at the top of the slide? Well one of them is me! Yep, I'm waiting for the person in-front of me to get to the bottom before I can go down the slide.

Sydney Swans vs. Collingwood Magpies

The fabulous game of AFL.  At least that's what I thought of after the game was finished. I'm not the biggest fan of AFL, but I did like watching the game live. 

My brother had been learning about the game + playing it with the Nab Auskick program.  At the end of all the lessons, he was given 4 tickets to see Sydney Swans play against Collingwood Magpies.

He was overly excited as was the rest of the family, excluding me. At that moment I'd had the better idea of spending the first day of holidays shopping, but NO. We went to my brothers soccer game down in Penrith somewhere, then travelled to Sydney to waste the time we had before the 7:10 game! So we went to look at Ikea and dream of buying everything! Well, at least that was what I was doing...

We had lunch there and looked around the shopping centre attached to it. We went to the news-agency to get our monthly magazines, then wondered what to do in the 3 more hours we had to kill. 

We were all going to sit in the car and read our magazines, but I suggested that we drive to a quiet park and then read our magazines. So we did just that. We stayed there and read our books until the sun was gone and buses were driving past packed with Swans fans sitting in it. 

It was still only 10 to 6, so we were going to get some sushi before we went to the stadium. But as we started driving on the highway, the traffic began. So we didn’t get sushi and just drove to the stadium.

It was just as well that we didn’t get sushi, because by the time we got to our seats, the game began!

As exciting as the game was, Collingwood beat the Swans. L It was a great day after all.

 

CrAzY iN-LoVe!

I'm just so crazy for fashion at the moment! I can't get enough of shopping either! 

We went shopping yesterday and the day before that for winter clothes, but I still feel the need to shop. One thing that I want to do after I've finished school is to go and see fashion week in Paris! I've always wanted to see the fashion for my-self and not by looking in magazines and websites. I like to design clothes, so I'm doing Textiles next year. Hopefully that will help boost my "career" in fashion! 

But for now I'm still dreaming of when my collection will be walking down the runway. *sigh*

A view of Katoomba street

Katoomba Street is a very happening place!  The picture above, the one with the fat post and pictures on it, is an advertising post. It was put there for people who want to advertise things like concerts and new things coming up. It's much better than places in Sydney. There, there's just random posters on beautiful buildings! This is much more practical. 

The top photo, is showing the shop signs on the left side of Katoomba Street. Not all of them though. There is the town clock going across the road. I don't think we've got a picture of it though.....

Oh wait! Yes, there is one....

Winter magic galore!

Each year in Katoomba (Blue Mountains), a festival called the Winter Magic is held. It's a crazy place to be. People walk around dressed up like wizards and fairies and pirates, I could go on all day with the crazy things people wear because its the one day people can walk around the road in what ever they want and no-one will even lay an eye on them! The fact is that the Winter Magic is a magical day. There are stalls going right down the street. From CD's to book's to clothes to ice cream. There are people busking on every corner and people getting their faces painted. 

One of our friends works in a shop on the main street where the festival is held. She had a stall in front of the shop she works in. She had dressed up as a pirate! 

My brothers 10th birthday

On the 12th of June, my brother had his 10th birthday. That's his cake with the candles on it. 

He got lots of presents and had a great time. 

The family came and jumped on the trampoline, which looked so funny!

Charles Darwin Walk

Many  weeks before today, was Mothers day. We gave mum the usual breakfast in bed, did things around the house for her and went on a nice walk at the Charles Darwin walk. We live close to it, so we didn't have to go far to get there. 

We walked for a long time, but stopped when our stomachs growled too loudly. we walked back home to have lunch.

Monday. Just had a hot chocolate. Too cold to go outside. Waiting for mum to come back with lunch. 

But where does dad work.....?

I've always wondered what dad's work looked like inside. So when he took a camera to work to take photos for his blog, I thought I should put some of those photos on my blog. So here they are. Can you guess where he works? If enough people comment, I'll tell you where. :)

The new trampoline

About three weeks ago, we bought a trampoline. It took awhile to put it up, but it was worth it. My brother and I jump on it everyday. But thanks to winter, we haven't been on it in a while. Here's some pictures of some sunnier days.

Mum's Birthday

Last weekend the family celebrated mum's 40th birthday.

Grandpa and Cousin's birthday picnic

Yesterday my family and I went to Berrima for a little get together for my grandpa and cousin's birthday. We went to the pub for some lunch then we went to one of the many parks to choose from. We went to one with swings and a playground. The parents had cake and drinks while my brother, cousin's and I went exploring through the park. We started to play "Survivor". We got to the first challenge which had a prize of a plate of chocolate bullets. We were about to begin, when the wind blew a big gust of wind and the chocolate bullets were blown into the near by bushes. That was the end of that challenge. We all then moved to the play equipment to continue with different challenges. Like "who can hang onto the monkey bars the longest".

Grandma and Grandpa soon went home. My family and the cousins family went to look at the nearby shops. We looked at an antique shop and some craft ones. But the one that stood out most for my cousin's, my brother and I was the lolly shop. But to my disappointment, mum only had $1. So my brother and I split the money and looked for anything that would be at the price of 50c. In the end we did. but it was only a few cheap lollie's that filled our pockets.
By the time we got out of the shops, it was time to say goodbye to each other. The cousin's went back to canberra and we drove to Penrith where we we're going to see the new movie "The Spiderwick Chronicles".
It was a really great movie even though we missed the first few minutes of it.

And today I have nothing to do.

Friends Sleep-over

Today I came home from a friends sleep-over. It was her 12th birthday last Monday. Last night we had a movie marathon. We watched "Titanic" and "Hairspray" and a few more movies. Titanic was ssssssooooooo sad. We all cried so much. But it was such a great movie. Leonardo Dicaprio is so good in that movie.

Birthdays

Tomorrow is my friends birthday! Hooray!I still don't know what to get her for her party which is on Thursday! ARGH! I think I need to go shopping soon. Maybe tomorrow or the next day. It was my birthday last Monday. It was a fun day. The next day I had two friends over. We watched "Mr Beans Holiday" (I got that for my b'day).  Then the next day I went to the relies house for a couple of days. And I've still got a week of holidays to take up. lol :)

My daily doings done today

Hello. Im sitting at the computer on Sunday, with nothing to do but create a blog. Its a simple blog explaining things that I have done or will be doing. Its like my diary, but its not private. So enjoy reading what I have been doing and please be don't be angry if i haven't put anything on the blog yet besides this. Im still thinking what I should write.
